Oh, sleigh bells will play “Born this way” On everybody’s cellphone The Grinch will look like Donald Trump And Santa’s pipe will get him stoned Mother Mary will be a hermaphrodite Nativities adorned with rainbows The three wise bros will kiss and grin Because everybody knows It’s going to be a green gay socialist Christmas “Come all ye faithful ” and “O’ holy night” Will be sung by some queen Marching elves waving green dildos Will punctuate the colorful scene A priest in pink will bless the masses Kissing babies in the name of Jesus President Biden will say everything’s OK Because it’s the season of forgiveness Oh it’s going to be a green gay socialist Christmas |

Ooh I don't know just yet. Christmas time's the hardest/busiest time of year for me as the one-man-gang with five whingy whiny kids who all want different food on the day. Let me think on it over the weekend, for they shall probably get a sack of "Bah Humbug" or reindeer poo instead |

This doesn't seem to fit what I would expect from you in a religiousness perspective. It has humor, but might be a bit much in places for my taste. I prefer "the Sound Of Silence" by Disturbed ![]() |

Really Andrea... "wink..." I have several perspectives; 1- I was born in Alabama and all my family is southern, but my Dad was military. We would bounce from southeast to west every two years, so as a child I learned the difference very quickly. 1- I graduated high school and spent most of "my" military years in California, Then lived in Atlanta for 25yrs. I know what a "REAL" politically motivated and uninhibited liberal gay pride celebration looks like. 3- I answered my first altar call in a neighborhood Baptist Church in Cherry Point, N Carolina when I was 8 y/o and have been a Bible believing Christian ever since. 4- As a combat veteran I swore allegiance to the US Constitution, then witnessed real political subjugation, racism, bigotry, and the horror of absolute authoritarian rule by law up close and personal. 5- At 55, I've been around enough to learn the truth is a funny thing... It's always right, but it always hurts, and it's always divisive... Thank God! ![]() Last edited on Sun Nov 22nd, 2020 04:12 am by JAPOV |

I can see these lyrics were born from your experiences. I can imagine such a gay pride parade. I felt parts were making fun of religion and Christmas. It is true though, religion may endorse 'love thy neighbor', but not accept/treat them equally. |

WOW... There's a sermon I could dwell on for days lol, but for the sake of "love thy neighbor" I'll try to keep this focused... The beauty of America is that, just like in the Bible, freedom and free will go hand in hand and are mutually respected and protected. "We are all bound by the law of the land." Only in America can a small percentage of the population have such a freely pervasive and unrelenting political influence upon the majority. However, if you believe a gay pride parade is motivated by equality and neighborly love you're sadly mistaken. Anything politically motivated is a battle against established or presumed opposition, which automatically makes you someone's rival... and we all know what political rivals become. I believe that today's hyper-politically motivated deliberations are intended for that effect, to divide people upon grounds of moral hypocrisy. The problem is, today's minorities want "special laws" to ensure their "special kind" of freedom, but that only convolutes the law which is supposed to apply equally for everyone. Consider WHY so many would be so insulted by what I wrote. Do you believe that, despite our differences, the gay community sees me as their loving and equal compatriot? Of course not, because they've made a political point of standing against Christian morality. The problem is, they've also unwittingly made themselves enemies of freedom. No government should ever be powerful enough to dictate morality. I'm going to say that again so read carefully, "No government should ever be powerful enough to, by law or doctrine, dictate morality!" Why? Because that's not freedom! The truth is, as a Christian, I really do have a soft spot in my heart for minorities... I am one! So, since liberal democracy is now synonymous with socialism and "mob rules", I now have to ask you; When has ANY MINORITY ever thrived in such a lawful totalitarian political environment? Free citizens should really take great care to study history and be very careful how much power and authority they give their government by rule of law. READ YOUR CONSTITUTION! |

I think you have some great points, and I share your views on at least some of them. I do not want to discuss it further here though. Maybe in the general discussion section? Maybe I will start a thread: "Should I write about politics or religion for a lyricical theme?". For me, in your lyrics, the politics were there, but it felt more like a jab at religion. Maybe that is my skewed vision. |

Lol... Everything is a jab at "Christians" these days, I'm really not a big supporter of organized and franchised religion ![]() |
