{Edited 11/25} Been awhile since I posted one of my songs.. so: Title: Ready To Be Loved Lyrics Copyright 2020 © Joe Givens (Rock/Country Rock Style..?) I'm ready I'm ready My pulse rate's increasin' steadily.. I'm ready.. so ready to be loved. It's been so long.. Since I've felt that magic deep inside.. And I'll sure know.. when its there .. Cuz something like that can't hide. I'm ready.. I'm ready.. My pulse rate's increasin' steadily.. I'm ready.. so ready to be loved.. You can only fool a heart so long.. It knows just what it needs.. Go ahead and waste your time.. You never will succeed. I'm ready.. I'm ready.. My pulse rate's increasin' steadily I'm ready.. so ready to be loved.. Won't find it on the radio Or in the stars above.. But I'm ready.. So ready to be loved.. Last edited on Wed Nov 25th, 2020 10:59 pm by SongWriterJoe |

I like it Joe! I can see it fitting that Country Rock style. Nothing too complicated, just easy to sing along to. |

Hi Joe, I like the feel of this. I agree with RDM, should be easy to sing along with. My only hitch, I do not understand this: "You can't fool a lonely heart.. it knows just what it needs.. Go ahead and waste your time.. You never will succeed. |

I'm good with it. I don't even have a problem with the lines that bothered Andrea a little bit. I don't agree that you can't fool a lonely heart, but Joe is a different guy with a different heart. Maybe his couldn't be fooled |

I love this song! It sounds like one of Garth Brooks' stripped-down songs (If Tomorrow Never Comes, The Dance, The River). Way to go! |
