Ola,
Here is a little piece I wrote a while ago. And as much as I like the theme and how much I enjoyed writing it, I’m still a bit unsure about it.

Ty!
RK

HORIZON

You divide the earth from the sky
And you are everything I see
Looks stunning but you wake my fear
Dark horizon infront of me
While everything once looked smaller
It all gets taller mile by mile
I walk ahead my eyes on you
Slowly with a bitter sweet smile

I tried to reach you, horizon
When I lost my track
Towards the sunrise, horizon
Tried it every day
I tried to reach you, horizon
When I lost my faith
And I started walking in circles
While I realized
As closer I get as far you are away...

My fear and knowlege chain myself
Narrow horizon of my mind
Commin' clear that I'm not worthy
Maybe there's strenght that I can't find
Love vanished from my horizon
And trust got out of my sight too
Lost in myself I understand
I'll never make it and reach you

Is there a hidden light?
Which is possible to touch
Is there a hidden light?
That burns out my madness, illuminates my brain
Is there a hidden light?
Which is possible to touch
That burns out my madness
and that will ease my pain

Love vanished from my horizon
And peace got out of my sight too
Lost in myself I understand
I'll never make it and reach you

I would encourage you to keep working on this one.
I really like the horizon theme. And you are making some interesting observations about it
and tying it in to things in life. This has some real possibilities. Continue to develop the theme.
I like the way you describe how some relationships are like the horizon.
No matter how hard you try, you never get there.

Tyvm! For your Very kind words.
It is one of those you can’t get out of your head, even with 100 other ideas in your mind.

I try to do that too. But sometimes there is just no time.

I bring some paper with me. All too often I get ideas while I am driving.
So there I am risking my life to write something down against the steering wheel. - lol
Some of my best stuff comes to me like that.

Good that I don’t drive...but I usually use my phone when I’m on tour or my papers or writing books and when I’m at home. But there is always a lot going on, so that some ideas are gone before I have the time to write them down. Other point is, that the medication I have to take everyday, has the side effect that I suffer from forgetfulness once in a while. There are good days and bad days.

Hmm... how do you remember to take your meds?

Here a song about that too. - lol

20 Pills (a day)

A songwriting challenge from a friend of mine.
He takes 20 pills a day and wanted me to write a song about it.

It’s not all the time, but there are moments when ....what did I want to say?
And I use a special box for the medication. With days and so on...on it. You open „Monday“ and check if you ve taken all the stuff you had to.

That's how you can tell when you are getting old.
Your pill-minder replaces your social calendar.

And when you get REALLY old, your social calendar returns.
But you are doing stuff you could care less about.

Mostly kidding. I love this age. I didn't start writing songs seriously
until I was 62 years old. Now I have 42 songs on SoundCloud.
And another ten in line for demos.

PS -- Did you see the FINAL FINAL lyrics draft for That Thing Goin' 'Round?

Well I’m 36 now, my eyes got weak and I am almost deaf on my right ear...and the pills I have to take....uff. But yeah we can’t all stay 25 like Cher 😂
No I haven’t yet. It got a little to „mixed up“ to follow all the threads.
