Does "written by a Christian" count? :)

I’m done preaching, nobody’s listening
Guess I’ll write another song
Antiquated laurels for yesterday’s morals
Who will miss them when they’re gone…

Friends in need and gods of greed
But no freedom to choose
Living for sake of a prayer too late
With nothing left to lose

If salvation is yesterday’s news
Then ignorance is no excuse

We take too much credit
We redefine the truth
We sell freedom for profit
And give the Devil his due

Eternal trust in a spec of dust
This universe that we roam
Given freely but owned completely
No safe place to call home

I’m done preaching, nobody’s listening
The wheat is choked by chaff
No laurels for yesterday’s morals
Guess who treads the grapes of wrath…

You can sell your soul but do the math
Dig your hole, man’s pride never lasts

Bit of a stretch to call this Gospel I think.

Solid track though. I like the jazzy feel and sparse / atmospheric feel to it.

This is pretty awesome. I would like to see the lyrics as I listen. I also like the jazzy feel. The bass is sweet!

Heya,
I checked this one out, too.
I must say that I really like this one! The lyrics are good, the sound is great and not to loud and the music fits it. I specially like the piano „intermezzo“. Nicely done!!
Just one thing, I think you could get a little bit more out of this one when you work a little bit more with your voice. From what I heared your voice is capable of more...interacting, so why not? I personally would like to hear some parts sing a little higher, more like real preaching. With a little more „pressure“ behind it. I think it would sound great!

But year, all in all I can say that I really like this piece!

Cheerio

This excellent. I love the whole thing, but I'm particularly drawn to the bass. It's my first instrument and the bass on this is really impressive. As indeed is the guitar work. Thanks for sharing and Stay Safe:)

That's very encouraging Chris! Both my parents play guitar... I've only recently been giving bass any real attention in my recordings lol. Much appreciated! :)
