I used to think that day drinkin really fit my style
Till I seen a little weed growin’ out by my wood pile
Now In case you’ve ever wondered
What really makes me smile
It’s when I sit and take a hit
That’s how we do it in the south

We’re gettin’ lit gettin’ lit
Around the fire pit
Twistin’ big ole fatties up
Rollin’ smoke extra thick

Gettin’ lit gettin’ lit
Around the fire pit
Twistin’ big ole fatties up
Rollin’ smoke extra thick

I’m unlike my country heroes who drank whiskey by the round
They’d sit and drink a fifth I prefer to smoke an ounce
Now livin’ ain’t worth livin’ out here in the sticks
Less your honey’s smokin’ funny and she never wants to quit

We’re gettin’ lit gettin’ lit
Around the fire pit
Twistin’ big ole fatties up
Rollin’ smoke extra thick

Gettin’ lit gettin’ lit
Around the fire pit
Twistin’ big ole fatties up
Rollin’ smoke extra thick

Grabbed a sticky bit of icky just to throw it in the mix
Cause the puna hits us sooner than the liquor ever did
Some people say we’re stoned, others say we’re high
We’re just fixin’ mason dixon and we’re gettin’ country fried

We’re gettin’ lit gettin’ lit
Around the fire pit
Twistin’ big ole fatties up
Rollin’ smoke extra thick

Gettin’ lit gettin’ lit
Around the fire pit
Twistin’ big ole fatties up
Rollin’ smoke extra thick

We’re gettin’ lit gettin lit
Out here in the sticks
The skunk ain’t always stinky yet it always does the trick

I like it Mike. It's catchy and funny. Definitely something different.

That 3rd verse is a classic with my two fav lines:
Cause the puna hits us sooner than the liquor ever did
...
We’re just fixin’ mason dixon and we’re gettin’ country fried

Wonderful!

Thanks guys! Even though it’s not really what I like, it’s probably the most marketable lyric I’ve ever written.

This would be popular at all the college bars! It is hilarious and would sing out easy and fun. It is not serious, but it is still clever and well put together.
