I think this is really strong Johnny.
Love the phrasing/timing of the lyric - that syncopated feel.

If you wanted a rhyme with "lies" you might swap:
crazy man > crazy guy
but that's not a biggie

At the end, you might try a second iteration of the chorus and build up the dynamic even more before the slow quiet finish.

I also think the sentiment of the song from a lyrical point of view is right now working in the songs favor.i am always open to change so i appreciate the feedback you gave me because it has given me insight into where i take the song as a work on it some more. Many thanks.Johnny :)

I liked the overall production and delivery and the lyrics seemed to work well.

It helps to be able to read the lyrics to have a closer look at.

From what I remember...."If only love was strong enough"

Maybe try phrasing around "If only love was enough" and keep going on the the next line as is.

Thanks for sharing.

James

Wow!! This is a great song in the making. I can't really criticise anything as it's work in progress. The production has a modern feel to it (to my old ears anyway!)That's a good thing for something like this. As James said, it would help if you could post the lyrics here too. I enjoyed listening to this.:)

WOW - this is a great song.
I may be crazy, but I hear this as an Abba song - if you had a female vocalist on this and some female harmonies...(with appropriate pronoun changes in the lyrics)

Very nice song. I like the piano at the start and the synthesizers in the end of the song. Only the bass seems a little bit too strong in the middle of the song in my opinion. But maybe you wanted it this way.

I generally listen from a vibe point of view and found this to be lovely and strong in every respect. How did you record this?

Hi,I'm glad you and everyone in the comment section are enjoying this song demo. I've left it alone for a few weeks now so i can have another go at it with fresh ears so to speak.Ok regarding your question about how i recorded this song.I have a desktop pc and in it i have a DAW for it called Propellerhead Reason version 10.I recorded using this software. I have a digital  piano that i play and from that i can trigger all the sounds in the DAW to create my songs I have a mic plugged in to this program for me to record any vocal idea down. It's a simple setup but one that works for me. You can check the software i use out from the link below.Johnny :)

Johnny,
What a great song! I think you have a good start here. I think it needs a little fuller backing to help raise up the vocal a bit. ..and your vocal is great BTW! The production overall is clean and clear..just the way I like them.

Great job! Thanks for sharing.
