I wrote this to music but the composer didn’t use it.

What’s Left Of Love
____________________Verse/Chorus
Verse 1:
In my heart I knew our love was true, and it would always glow
But I never knew your other love, and you want to let me go
And so my heartaches grow

Chorus 1:
What’s left of love I have for you
Since you no longer are a part of me
What’s left of love now that we’re through
You’ll always live within the heart of me
My tears are what’s left of love

Verse 2:
Smiling through my tears as your eyes shine, in everyone I see
Praying my heart clears but your love shows, you mean everything to me
I’m dying by degrees

Chorus 1:
What’s left of love I have for you
Since you no longer are a part of me
What’s left of love now that we’re through
You’ll always live within the heart of me
My tears are what’s left of love

Bridge and build:
Our hearts came together
And love was forever
If we could forgive what we’re guilty of
We could make amends and revive our love
It’s you whom I’m dreaming of... (riff)
If you would only hear my plea
And not turn away from me

Chorus 2:
What is left of love I have for you
Since you no longer are a part of me
What is left of love now that we’re through
You’ll always live within the heart of me
There can be no one else, just you

Charles, The measure of a good song, in my own humble opinion, is 1 how well does it sing 2 does it tell the story you want told ? This does both for me. Lyrics are very pure and easy to sing and convey the message well. Its a song Id be happy to perform. Very nice.

Thanks Bunny. You can sing it anytime you want. Or any of my other lyrics. I’d love that!

Charles
