#20 in my 30 in 30

I wrote this around a hook...Great minds think alike but fools seldom differ...and had halloween on my mind, I guess. Its just about a couple so in love that they hate each other...or vice versa.
As always, you suggestions, corrections and comments are appreciated and taken seriously.

Thanks,
Bunny

Great Minds Think Alike

Verse 1
When I told you what I wanted was for you to be
Forever mine for all eternity
You swore that it would only happen over your dead body
I thought, okay, at least now we agree

Chorus
Great minds think alike
But fools seldom differ
And I can't tell you which of those we are
It only matters
We're on the same page
No matter which, I guarantee we'll go far

Verse 2
You told me tmy broken heart would someday mend
And someday someone new would turn my head
I know it wont happen and my love for you wont end
At least not without a fight till someone's dead

Chorus
Great minds think alike
But fools seldom differ
And I can't tell you which of those we are
It only matters
We're on the same page
No matter which, I guarantee we'll go far

Bridge
When I said I need you like I need water
You fantasized me drowning in the sink
And since you told me that i was too needy
I needed to see you floating in the drink

Verse 3
This love affair of ours though kinda scary
Is the kind of love that takes away your breath
The best way to describe our passion clearly
Is simple, we just love each other to death

Chorus
Great minds think alike
But fools seldom differ
And I can't tell you which of those we are
It only matters
We're on the same page
No matter which, i guarantee we'll go far

Yea Bunny, you got a bit of Halloween going here. You’re not going to get more bazaar as we near the 31st? I might. It’s cute, I like it! Okay, probably ditch the THAT in the last chorus line.

Charles, of îThis was a challenge within a challenge. Pick a random hook...write around it, don't give up, and present something youre not embarrassed of. While I am quite sure its doesnt approach my better titles, a. I like itt. b ) id gladly sing it in a set.
And oh yeah, I agree with the that...was a place holder word I didnt get to during edits ( thats when i correct grammar and spelling and contractions et cetera .)

I think you've got the mood right here. It's slightly macabre and twisted, but with the humour shining through.

I wonder if you shouldn't open with what's currently v3?
It would set up the context and v3,1,2 feels like it would hold together as a flow.

The connection between the verses and the chorus is a little loose.
If you were starting this without the hook and just writing a chorus for the verses, you'd more likely end up with with lines like:
we love each other to death; or
we'd die for each other

It's not a drastic issue, but I think it would be helpful if you could connect them in some way.

RDM, i like 3 as v1. Its funny when im in the thick of writing, and i have connected a verse and chorus in my head, its hard to see it any other way...but, today, i dont see the connection the same way i did while writing. Ill probably take your suggestion and rework the chorus. In a few days, lol I gotta finish another song first.

Thanks for the suggestions.
