To complement, My Mornings Are My Nights.

My Tomorrows Are My Yesterdays
__________________Verse/Chorus
Verse 1:
Does this scen’ry change
It’s like a while ago
I’m acting on a stage
Replaying scenes I use to know
My future’s my rear view mirror
And it’s oh so clear

Chorus 1:
My past’s catching up to me
I’m stepping on my tail
Try to break the monotony
But keep traveling the same trail
Like to find a fresh new way
But my tomorrows are my yesterdays

Verse 2:
Am I in a dream
My future’s placed on hold
I’m tripping on my schemes
These déjà vus are getting old
My bygones are ahead of me
And it’s pretty clear

Chorus 1: (as above)
My past’s catching up to me
I’m stepping on my tail
Try to break the monotony
But keep traveling the same trail
Like to find a fresh new way
But my tomorrows are my yesterdays

Bridge:
I look ahead, see the dread of what I was before
I must reverse my life, change things I deplore
And correct caveats I’ve chosen to ignore, oh

Chorus 2:
My past’s catching up to me
I’m stepping on my tail
Try to break the monotony
But keep traveling the same trail
I’ll apply a fresh new way
So my tomorrows aren’t my yesterdays

Post Chorus:
I’ll apply a fresh new way
So my tomorrows aren’t my yesterdays

Charles, Read this way early in the morning and I liked it, but was too tired to even pretend to make sense with my comments.i. Great chorus... rhyme is superb, but the bridge really drives the message home for me... Great Write

Yes, the bridge brings it all together.
Not sure about "caveat" there, though I like the alliteration. Maybe right wrongs I've chosen to ignore?

Yeah Charles, "right wrongs" , RDM may have something there with the opposites thing...kinda works for me. Works the way it sirs... but I really like the suggestion.

You know, Bunny and RD Man, I thought about using “right my wrongs”, but I felt it’s kinda overused. I’ve used it as well as others. Who’s used “correct caveats?” Probably no one. Thanks for your suggestions and positive comments.

And SW Joe, I’m very pleased you enjoyed my rhymes schemes. Thanks

Well, Charles, if you thought of it and went the other way...it gets my vote. I use a lot of suggestions that I get here, but i probably pass on just as many.
I like the song,

Yea Bunny, I also like the alliteration of change/chosen and correct/caveats.
