I'm playing this right now in a sort of ragtime piano/bluegrass breakdown style...am working on a couple other verses...see it as a "Salty Dog Blues " sort of song where people think up and add their own verses whenever they sing it. I also see it as very ripe for instrumental breaks between verses in the bluegrass tradition.

Sofas

Hook(chorus)

This ones for all the sofas, that we ever tried to make love on
I tell you, this ones for all the sofas, we ever tried to make love on.

V1
There's the one in the parlor and the one in the hall
Theres the green one we moved to the garage last fall
The leather couch in the office, that sticks to your skin
And the one in the attic that always falls in

Chorus

Lemme tell you this ones, for all the sofas, we ever tried to make love on

V2

Well theres the swing in front yard, the back seat of the car
Theres the one the back porch that looks up at the stars,
You know the one at your sisters thats velvet and gray
And that sleeper sofa upstairs that Mom gave away.

Chorus

I tell you this ones for all the sofas, we ever tried to make love on.

V3

The one in back room and the two at the farm
The one that dog tried to chew off the arm
The suede one, the print one, the red and the blue
Its always been me and its always been you

Hook (chorus and play out)

Im saying this ones for all the sofas, we ever tried to make love on.
This ones for all the sofas, we ever tried,
You know we always tried,
We ever tried to make love on.

Hey Bunny,
I’m anxious to hear how this sounds with the music. But it’s uniquely done. I like the verses especially.

No problem with the Rating here, Bunny, it's light and fun.

I like the humour. Hope we get to hear a recording!
