Hey, songwriter's forum,
I wasn't really sure where else to post this but, for anyone interested, I have just written a new song on the ukulele called 'Madness Multiplied' which you can see here on my youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CaNRlFu6Npg
I welcome any and all feedback
The song documents a woman who is stuck between two dimensions in the pursuit of fantasy where she believes she will find happiness. A world hopping Blanche duBois if you will.
As an added bonus, there is also an original poem of the same name in the description for any poetry enthusiasts!
Thanks,
-AnonymousLou

Hi Lou,
It’s a thin line between madness and euphoria. I remember in the war, when we got into this intense battle, I had a otherworldly encounter with Death. I was exhilarated by the experience. But it was a kinda madness and euphoria mixed into one. I was caught between two dimensions —not too different from your poem.
Charles

Hi there, thanks so much for checking out my work. And wow, that is such an interesting story too. Thanks so much for sharing that. And I 100% can agree that the line between euphoria and madness can be tantalisingly thin.
Thanks,
-AnonymousLou

Hi, wow thanks so much! And I may merge the two to create a song in the future but I would probably have to change quite a lot of the poem in order to achieve that but it definitely is an interesting idea!
Thanks,
-AnonymousLou

Hi Lou,
What you write is very interesting. Very detailed and definitely paints a picture. I also listened to your "Love Me Tender" vocal...you have a very nice voice! Keep singing!

Hi, again, Kellyanne, thanks so much for your lovely comments and for checking out my stuff!
If I am completely honest, now I have had time to think about this song, I wish I hadn't put this version out which I rushed and didn't prepare properly when writing it so I may re- upload a better recording in the future.
Regardless, I really appreciate you taking the time to listen to my work
Thanks

I know what you mean! I find mistakes and things I wish I wrote differently all the time after I post songs. I drive myself crazy lol. Lately I've been trying to rewrite more, go back to the song and listen again, reread etc.. I always catch things I missed or don't like. On one of my last songs I actually mispronounced a word! We are our worst critic. But I think writing and making music is a wonderful thing. Don't overlook the joy in it. You're doing great! Keep going. Mistakes are keys to help you move forward. In a sense I am happy to find them. The timing of finding them is a different story lol. You will always learn and gain more knowledge and ideas...a fun ride it is!

Yeah, I think more and more, I am trying to encourage myself to go back over things and pay attention to the details more and not always rush things- but I agree that making music is a wonderful thing and I think part of the rushing is because I am enjoying myself and want to get my music out there in the world.
And I really appreciate such kind comments from a songwriter with such an impressive soundcloud page! xx
Thanks,
-AnonymousLou

Oh you're too kind Lou...thank you very much. That's exactly why I rush too...it's exciting to finish something and put it out hoping someone will listen and like what we have created. I think it's important for songwriters (for anyone, but this is about creating/songwriting)to support and encourage each other. Especially at such a raw, green stage. Thank you Lou!
