Hi everybody !

Who is good in writing a great lyric for my song
“Skyfall” ? Other Title also possible

Here’s the music :

https://drive.google.com/open?id=1fqdqSzSKyQmKVqS3b9oe2BM900UOztgT

Please consider to maintain the exact !! rhythm of my vocal melody in your lyric.

Verse line 1 : 16 syllables
Verse line 2 : 16 syllables
Rise line 1 : 6 syllables
Chorus line 1 : 8
Chorus line 2: 10
Chorus line 3 : 8
Chorus line 4: 10
Chorus last line : 7

It needs words that end in each line with “a”,“o”,“u”,“e” , because
I hold the notes.

I have sung some senseless words you might pickup and use them if you like...

Please just orientate only on the first verse and first chorus, because it might be so that I sung the following verses and chorus a little bit different which is not done by my intention.
When I will record the song I will defintlay hold on the structure of Verse 1 and Chorus 1.

The most important thing for me is that the lyric fits like a perfect glove on the melody and is easy ! to sing.

So, post your lyric proposals here for Verse 1 and the Chorus, and if I can sing it well I get in touch with you so you can complete it.

I will close the thread in 2 weeks, and if there is a lyric proposal that suits, I let you know.
Thanks for your proposals in advance.

Cheers, Steve Sledge

Hi Steve,
I wrote a lyric for Skyfall. I hope you like it. Thanks for the opportunity.

Charles

What’s Left Of Love (Skyfall)

Verse 1: (16, 16, 6)
In my heart I knew our love was true and that it would always glow
But I never knew your other love and you want to let me go
And so my heartaches grow

Chorus 1: (8, 10, 8, 10, 7)
What’s left of love I have for you
Since you no longer are a part of me
What’s left of love now that we’re through
You’ll always live within the heart of me
My tears are what’s left of love

Hi Steve,
After listening to the music numerous times, I don’t know if the broken-hearted theme, as above, is going to work throughout. I could probably tweak whereas it would. I think a ‘please-return-to-me’ theme will flow easier; as in this lyric below. Respectfully,

Charles

I’m All For You (Skyfall)

Verse 1: (16, 16, 6)
If you return to me, will our romance be like it use to be
I’m longing for that smile, is there a chance my heart will be set free
It’s true, I’m all for you

Chorus: (8, 10, 8, 10, 7)
Don’t say we’re through, l’m all for you
We’ll revive the loving we use to know
Can we break through, I’m all for you
So hold on tight to love and don’t let go
I’m all for you, don’t you know

Hey Steve,
The only way I’d find out if the first lyric would work was to finish it. So that’s what I did. When I did the second verse I tweaked into a I’ll-always-love-you-despite type ballad. Now I like it better than the second suggested lyric. Anyway that’s where I am now. But I’m working on a third possibility. Also, I should mention, I love your song and enjoy doing lyrics for it. Thanks,

Charles

Thanks for your proposals !
Also everybody here on the forum is of course welcome to send me his verse 1 + chorus 1 directly per PM instead of posting it here.
I will collect them all and after the time is finished I will look and see which lyric is best to sing for the music and get in touch with the writer to let it finished by him.

Thanks for your attention here. The thread is closed from my side, and I get in contact with the writer whose lyrics fit best. ( I posted it in two other writers sites too )
Cheers
