The gifts that I give you
light up the face that I see
you're as beautiful as flowers
sweet as chocolate to me

you love the surprises
the gifts that I bring
maybe one day
I'll bring you a ring

for now its just flowers
and chocolates from me
your face lights up
sets my soul free

I see the magic
deep in your eyes
every time I show up
with a little surprise

you ask for nothing
there's no gold digger in you
you're happy with flowers
and a chocolate or two

you ask for nothing
there's no gold digger in you
you're happy with flowers
and a chocolate or two

It’s simple, it’s sweet, and endearing. I’d make a lovely love song. Good job Alan!

It is a sweet song.

I'd look again at using "gold digger"
It's such an unflattering term that even used negatively it seems kind of out of place here.

"you're as beautiful as flowers
sweet as chocolate to me"
this is the highlight for me.

Lighthearted and lovely :) I hear it softly playing in my head.

I understand the idea, "there's no gold digger in you", but I agree with Owen it has a negative feel (where the rest of the song is so positive).

A perfect, sweet Country-Pop love song! Dan + Shay would be perfect for this song! :)
