It is Soundclick’s 10th Anniversary this month and they are holding
a contest to find the best song for the event. The winner receives
$1,000.00 and the top 10 submissions get a Free VIP account
for 10 years. What you see and hear below is my entry into this
contest. Since someone accused me of writing nothing but country
LOL ... here’s you a curveball ... this song is R&B :)

If you plan on entering a song, you better hurry as the deadline
for the demo is Aug. 31, 2007 and you have to be a member of
soundclick to enter. The rules also stipulate that the name
“Soundclick” has to be used at least once in the song. They will
not accept just lyrics it has to be a finished demo.

Thanks for listening ;)

Title: Soundclick (where stars are born)

Jeff,

Are they using judges or they having listeners vote? If it's voting, I'll throw you might vote.

Thanks for the vote but I'm not sure how they are doing the judging. From what I read on the rules it appeared that the admins and owners are gonna make that decision. But if they do vote I'd appreciate all the help I can get :)

UPDATE:
So far there are 18 songs listed that made it to round #2
I don't know if there will be more or not as the cut-off is Aug. 31.
But if you're interested enough to keep up with it. The list is here.
It seems as though I've made it to the 2nd round of cuts :)

Yeah, 10-4 buddy.  Already had to apologize to Mike.  I went over to soundclick and checked the list before they had him posted. Yep, he's got a good-one posted.

OKAY, so here it is again, SAW-WEE Mike.  :D

Hey no problem guys.  I did mine for fun and some chuckles.  If any of us here win, it would be a surprise with all the Hip-Hop over there.  Stuff like Jeff's and mine stick out like sore thumbs.  Maybe that is good?

I'm not really sure how they will judge all the genre of songs together at one time.  All we can do is just let it fly and see what happens.

Now where is my Pina Colada.....I'm going to go listen to MY song.....:D:D

Mike I think I'll have a song ready to up-load for that Soundclick thing sometime today.  I contacted Casio Computer Co., and they gave me permission to use some of their accompaniments for my song.  So I'm planning to use some, along with my own. :D

Well, it's a day later, I still got nothin I would dare turn loose on people's ears yet.  But it's getting closer.  Sad part of it is I'm deaf in one ear, and can't hear out of the uthern'-a-tall.

Lord have mercy on a songwriting-obsessed-dumb-ole-country-boy! !

"Orda-be a song in there somewheres !"  :D

Well even if I don't win the contest I can say that I got
2 #1's out of the deal as this song went #1 on the
Blues Chart and #1 on the Blues Rock Chart :)
So equipped with that and a dollar I can get a

Some people might say that's the only sense I have.  But it ain't true.  I got sense'nuff to git in otta da rane, sense 'nuff to sat down and shut-up when momma's shakin' her fist at me, sense 'nuff to come-a-runnin when the dinner bell rings, and other senses too. I's a purty sens-able guy.  Sometimes. :D

Terry, I hate to sound like a songwriter here but I think you should
write a song with that info you just wrote below and title it

"I'm a sense-able Guy"

Lol, can't wait to hear that one, make sure you add those images
you mention below .... that would be kewl and a hoot :)
