She found her forte in heartbreak
Found she liked making men feel down
So she took up a beau, and to let you all know
He wasn't the first in this town

She turned his redneck blue
Made all kinds of lies, look like truths
She'd walk in a bar, steal a young cowboys heart
Then she'd turn his redneck blue

On the outside she looked like a ten
On the inside her heart, was small like a grinch
She carried a smile, that went on for miles
But she'd turn a redneck blue

She turned his redneck blue
As if it were something, that she had to prove
She'd walk in a bar, steal a young cowboys heart
Then she'd turn his redneck blue

Yes she'd turn a redneck blue
Had it not been for her past, maybe she'd lose
She had tricks up her sleeves, that she pulled out on me
Then she turned my redneck blue

I still feel the shame, of playing her games
Yes she turned my redneck blue

Feels solid MP! Good strong hook, and a rollicking sort of story line. One to really sing along with.

I like how at the end you make it personal with:
She had tricks up her sleeves, that she pulled out on me
which is also a strong line of itself

I stumbled rhythmically on that 2nd line. I can't hear what's in your head, so it may be just fine as is, but perhaps:
Found she liked making men feel down > She liked making young men feel down

Thanks Owen. TBH was just kind of a feel good nothing too serious write. You’re suggestion would work just fine for line 2 as well. Thanks for the look.
