Hello, everyone! My name is Mitchell and I have been writing for 20 years. Songs of every genre. Challenge me! I can write about anything. Member of a local writer's bloc. Never found any band yet but then I've never tried until now. Now that I'm retired and my wife is disabled, now is the time to introduce many, many writings from my cob web collage collections of various poems, writings, songs, etc.

This is my second post. I meant to say other things, such as my favorite artists. My writing icons include Shel Silverstein, Weird Al, Ogden Nash, Spike Milligan, Don McLean, Jimmy Buffet. My favorite artist of all is John Fogerty. Favorite country singers are Don Williams, Willie and Waylon, all three Hanks, Merle, Bobby Bare, many others. Old school here, not any rap, although my sons are trying to influence me to write some. My older son has set me up Sunday with a rhythm guitarist who belongs to a band. Hopefully, it will work out well. Everyone have a blessed day while I leave a poetic short: -Little Fly---
I'm just a little fly that flies, with no home, no hole nor hive.
My forty days I try to strive, near your food, your face and eyes.
You flick your wrist to no surprise - The swatter missed, I'm still alive!
I swoop again, both low and high from carpet floors to ceiling skies.
But now I feel and realize my many eyes see my demise.
From sullen breeze to sudden strife, the swatter slices like a knife!
A plastic grid, a deadly rife! A tragic end to my little splat!

Welcome! I have some humor for you about a fly! Curly of the three stooges quoted a poem that said: "Little fly upon the wall, ain't you got no clothes at all? Ain't you got no pettiskirt? Ain't you got no shimmy shirt? Boo fly, ain't you cold"? Ha, ha, ha Peace:rollface
