More than half the people here write lyrics only I would say.

You might try looking in the 'Lyrics Only' section for something you would like to put to music, then perhaps a Private Message to that person to see if they would like to collab with you (never write the music without permission, that is breach of copyright).

Or you might put a post up in the Collaboration section just asking if someone would like to send you something. If you have a particular style in mind it might be helpful to describe that.

My biggest problem is finding good composers who are willing to collaborate on songs and work until they’re production ready. I’ve worked with myriad composers, but most won’t or can’t go the distance. I can add lyrics to any decent musical composition, but I’ve only had one composer who is successful in writing music to a lyric. Writing music to lyrics or visa versa is seems to be a rare talent. One dedicated ‘Elton John’ is all I need.

It does seem that writing music to lyrics is a more difficult chore than writing lyrics to music. I have not figured this out yet, but maybe that is because I am not a musician (yet).

Charles, I think you write some awesome lyrics. I hope you find someone to help with the music.

Yes, Andrea,
Suggestions and ideas to improve my lyrics from you, RD Man, and the others have made a world or difference in their quality. Thanks a bunch.
