Hello again everyone, Just wanted to share this with you:
I contacted a Dublin music publisher (I live in Ireland) who was interested in hearing my songs so I sent them links to Souncloud and this is the answer I got:

Hi Martin,
Thanks for sending us your songs. They are excellent.
However nowadays it is almost impossible to get a song covered unless you work directly with either the artist or producer or both.
Regarding Nashville even if you write with a local writer the chances of getting a cover are slim.
I’m afraid there is nothing we can do to help you but best of luck with your career.

What chance have we got when people in "the biz" that can potentially earn millions from one of our songs and think they are "excellent", can't do anything with them?
Is the only alternative we have?

I realized a few years ago that my chances of making it in the music business probably wasn't going to happen.

But screw it, I still write music and I still enjoy recording it. Keep your head up King.
