Chorus:
Changes
Coming like a landslide
Caught me on my blindside
Caught me on the run
Strangers
All around are dangers
How fast the world changes
I wanna get off

Take me to a time when I felt safe and secure
Days of my childhood when I understood the rules
Everything's is different and I feel like a fool
And I don't know what to do (with all these)

Chorus

Clock on the wall says a quarter to one
It's been out by an hour since Daylight Savings begun
And I don't know how to fix it so I guess it's stuck
That way for the next six months

Chorus

Take me to a time when I felt safe and secure
Days of my childhood when I understood the rules
I may not be Einstein but at least I knew
How to change the clock on the wall

Chorus
I wanna get off
I wanna get off

Latest and greatest masterpiece from the gifted man from the land down under! You are truly a "Man at work". A one man band like me. Have recorded in a studio one track at a time in past. You get the best recordings doing them by yourself. This is now a top 10 song on my Owen Hovenden list! You are a musical equal to Einstein. Love you much, brother in music. Your I.Q. is at genius level for sure, my friend. P.S. cool jazz

You are too kind, Marty. But I appreciate the listen and the gracious remarks :)

Great tune Owen. Love the sultry style. Is that a saxophone? Sounds really good. I like how you start it off at the chorus. Great lyrics, I can relate.

Thanks samiamiamsam!

The saxophone sound is a midi VST plugin, so I've played it on keyboard (with lots of editing and overdubbing!!).

Nice work.
A good slice of life song.

Nice to hear you were able to get the sax working.
Sounds like a soprano sax or even clarinet.

I like how the lyrics transition smoothly from verse to chorus.

- Sketch

PS -- Song could use a bit more dynamic punch. But that's not really your thing.
At least not as much punch as I like to use. lol

Yes, you are better at that, and our styles are different that way!
