Stirring clouds in my coffee
lost so deep in thought
chasing you in my dream
never seem to get you caught

we're on a wheel thats spinning
a merry-go-round of mystery
wondering where it will end
when it sets us free

like a bet on a game of roulette
never knowing where you'll land
I'll feel good if only you would
take hold of my hand

you are the one I won't move on
the promises I made I'll be keeping
there'll be no surprise I told you no lies
I'll be there when you wake from your sleeping

I'll stir the coffee of dreams
watch the clouds turn to cream
I make a wish that you're mine forever

The problem is that line in You're So Vain is so well-known, it's a difficult reference to write to.  i.e. no one is ever gonna write a song about a Blackbird or a Walrus without invoking the Beatles.

Almost wonder if there were a different title to the song if it would help.

It's not going anywhere so it's not a problem; there are a million songs out there with lines similar or the same it makes no never mind and it doesn't share the title nor the exact line has mentioned and to be honest I wouldn't care if it did but that's just me. Thanks for looking I appreciate your comments.
