Title: Who Ya Gonna Call, Big Daddy?
Track Time: 00:00 / BPM: 00

Vs 1
So when it all comes down
and you can't get around
to the old part of town
where you get the low-down

Who ya gonna call, Big Daddy?

Vs 2
Now you think you will drown
have a total melt-down
but you won't hear a sound
on this merry-go-round

Who ya gonna call, Big Daddy?

Vs 3
Suit in a button-down
gave you a thumbs-down
just flew in from boomtown
he'll give you the runaround

Who ya gonna call, Big Daddy?

Vs 4
Heading out to midtown
right up to the slowdown
set up for a go-round
get caught in the smack-down

Who ya gonna call, Big Daddy?

Great lyrics as usual Steve. Can’t wait to see what you do with this.

You'll probably like it.
It will most likely be another gritty grinder like Yellow Hand.
With a spitfire delivery of the verse lyrics.

- Steve

PS -- How are you doing with the StudioOne recording software?
Let me know if you need  any help, buddy.

Nice rhyme you have going there.
I just got back from boomtown last night.
It's part of a huge festival here in Ghant (Gent) Belgium.

Thanks for your comments, Veance.

I have been to Belgium.
When I was in my mid-twenties I went to a conference in Leuven. (sp?)

- Steve

PS --- I remember something that happened on arrival that was a tense moment.
After our group arrived at the airport we were split up into several vans for transport to
Leuven. The person who put myself and a few others in a van instructed us to tell the drive
to get off the freeway at E5. When we saw the sign we talked to the driver, telling him to
exit at E5. Unfortunately, the driver didn't speak English, and looked at us blankly.
Someone in the van figured that he probably spoke French and translated E5 to Eu Cinc (sp?)
We all began hollering "Eu Cinc, Eu Cinc!" at the driver. We barely made the turn. lol

There may be a song in there. Lost in Belgium -
It would need an E5 chord for sure. lol

Hey Steve, I’m having trouble with the software right now. I think the problem is with my PC. It’s kind of old, and I’ve been needing to upgrade it for a while. I’ve actually read that it’s better to have a dedicated PC/laptop just for music. Planning on going to Best Buy this weekend and getting something better.

Haha,great story.
Yes, our second language and pain in the @ss is French. Because half our country is divided in a dutch and French speaking part.
Dutch people are rather well spoken in French too but those frenchies, thats an other story.
And the younger in our midst do speak English well enough to have a conversation.
That must mean that I'm young, right? 😁

Sorry to hear about your trouble.
I don't have a dedicated computer for recording.
But some may need to do that.

My computer is a custom build. A monster.
So, I'm in a little different situation than most.

But, these things are all about getting over hurdles.
I'm glad that you haven't given up. Keep after it.

It's a lot more complicated than I thought it would be, but I feel like this will help me in my songwriting process. Just so many more options than I ever had before.

Do you know of any good tutorials for a beginner? I've found it difficult to find them, most are for previous versions of the software.

I still need to get a new pc. I was planning on going today, but some things came up. These tutorials are gold. Thank you so much Steve.

Hahaha, yeah I'm still gung-ho about diving into this. I'm itching to record something. Seems like things always come up though. I start an out of town job on Wednesday, and I'll be gone for at least 10 days. But I have a vacation coming up in August. Maybe by then I'll be all squared away and ready to go.

Sounds like a plan, my man.
If you get hung up, or have some questions,
you know who to call. ha ha

- Steve

PS --- I just remembered that I had intended to tell the story
of where this song idea came from.

These are the moments in life from which my songs typically spring.
I wasn't looking for song ideas at the time, but these memories
come up every once in a while.

I was in my car at an intersection waiting for the light to change.
Someone in the next lane over was out of his car and taking
issue with the driver in the lane next to me.

As a preventive measure I took out my flip phone and held it up
so that the angry person could see it. It worked,
he calmed down and got back in his vehicle.

The light changed, and the car next to me took a right turn.
But the car with the angry man went straight ahead in my direction.
The lanes squeezed down to a single lane. He motored ahead of me.
And just as he passed me he hollered out, "Who Ya Gonna Call, Big Daddy?"

The "video" clip is permanently etched in my mind. So funny.
Soon to be immortalized in a recorded song.

Nice lyrics Steve, I thought the link might have been this song but must say what I did hear was Got what I wanted (But I’m no happy), That is by far my favorite of yours that I have heard so far. You’re singing in that one reminds me much of someone’s but I just can’t place the name. It sounds a bit Marleyish? Or what little I’ve heard of his. Not sure if that’s who is coming to mind exactly or not, but either way, it is very nice work!

I'm not even sure what genre of music this is.
Very funky. Somewhat related to rap. Urban Beatnik Funk. lol
