Chasing the wind
Solomon said
All life's desires
Were like vanity to him

Generation comes and generation goes
But all are forgotten by the World here below
He said man should follow what pleases his heart
Enjoying the moment
For soon it will part

Known for his wisdom and knowledge you see
His wives were all heathen so some disagree
They caused him to turn his heart far from God
Some call the man foolish, this Earth for to trod

A king of Israel, now imagine that
Seeking much pleasure in vanity he sat
Saying nothing is new, all has been before
But modern invention was not then in store
Some disagree fully with what he had said
This old king of Israel today now is dead

Television and radio were not in his time
No man walked the moon when our forefathers died
God said knowledge increase will fill the last days
His logic was wanting, this point now is raised

A time for all seasons the king then had said
For living and dying were thoughts in his head
A time first for something, then later is not
To study the things that our God surely wrought

Some called him a wise man, but some call a fool
His heart turned from God with his wives heathen rule
They spoiled the king and what God meant to be
The leader of Israel should not sin you see

No vanity in Jesus, my Savior above
who died for to save us and show his great love
So fret not what Solomon had said years ago
In history forgotten some think he should go

(I must go back to read Ecclesiastes to know how to continue this, that was spoken of by my Pastor, at the funeral service we had this week)

Yes, you might want to read Ecclesiastes again.
Those are some pretty inflammatory comments about the inspired word.
Though not a perfect man by any stretch, Solomon was known to be
the wisest man of that day. Maybe you should cut him slack?

His turning away from the one true God of Israel and following after the false gods of his heathen wives are what make me so hard on him! No, this stands as written. This is my opinion of him.

that's a nice start!

And I like the next lines too:
Generation comes and generation goes
But all are forgotten by the World here below

though you might not need "here" in the latter line depending on the syllable count.

So you are off to a flying start!
In my view you would be better off avoiding lines in the first person "I disagree" etc. I think it makes it harder for the listener to empathize - makes it about you rather than about them. Rewrite those to 3rd person maybe.
I call the man foolish > He took a foolish path
or something like that.

I don't know anything about Ecclesiastes so I'll leave you to determine what comes next!
