Woke up this mornin when I fell out of bed
nothin worse than than a bang on the head
noticed my clothes all over the floor
I tried to stand but I crawled to the door

my heads banging like an old steam train
think I done some damage to my brain
my clothes are scattered can't find my shoes
and I'm still suffering from the whisky blues

I shouted my baby but got no reply
felt so sick I thought I would die
oh the morning after the night before
I woke up hurting has I hit the floor

the hair of the dog might do the trick
but just the thought makes me feel sick
everytime I say it won't happen again
then my just one turns into ten

my heads banging like an old steam train
think I done some damage to my brain
my clothes are scattered can't find my shoes
and I'm still suffering from the whisky blues

Classic blues! Even starting with "Woke up this morning..." you just can't get more bluesy than that!

The verse that starts:
my heads banging like an old steam train
...
is particularly good

and this line lso caught my eye:
oh the morning after the night before

Good stuff.

I'd be happy to help, but I don't know how logistics-wise that would work.

I like it! Like was said above, "Woke up this morning" puts it squarely in the blues river.

One thing: I'm wondering if there might be a different word than "banging" to go with the steam train simile (which I love). "Screamin'", maybe?

Hey Alan, I like it a lot. Great lines. Funniest blues tune I ever heard was a song called the Short Blues... Which was ... I woke up jis morning. Thank you very much. Really great lyric you got there. Classic Blues construction. Nice work.

Wow so great and reminiscent of some of the classic blues pieces- the first line immediately made me think of 'Chains and Things' by BB King!
I can already imagine tunes to this piece so good job!
