Here are my favorites and the inspiration for everything I’ve ever written.
In no particular order.

The Beatles - Revolver and Rubber Soul
Robert Johnson - Complete Collection
Nirvana - In Utero and Nevermind
Alice in Chains - Dirt and Jar of Flies
Soundgarden - Badmotorfinger
Pink Floyd - The Wall and Wish You Were Here
Leonard Cohen - Various Positions
Slipknot - Slipknot
Megadeth - Peace Sells and Rust in Peace
Leadbelly - Definitive Leadbelly
Joni Mitchell - Clouds
Hank Williams - Memorial Album
Patsy Cline - Showcase
Deftones - Around the Fur
Pantera - Vulgar Display of Power
Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath

That's interesting, Sam.

That Black Sabbath album was very important. I was a teen when it came out.
I remember trying to sing the intro to Iron Man through a window fan. (for effect) - lol
Joni Mitchell - Court and Spark, also comes to mind. My introduction to Tom Scott and the
LA Express. (Larry Carlton and Joe Sample) Who were on the first Michael Franks album,
The Art of Tea. (a must-hear album) I'm a big Alice in Chains fan as well. And Nirvana, to
some extent. HUGE Dave Grohl fan. (mostly Foo Fighters)

I'm a big fan of Larry Carlton. He did all the best guitar solos for Steely Dan.
His solo on Kid Charlemagne is unbelievable.
I like the solo for Peg too. Can't remember who did that one but it was great.

Here is my YouTube and SoundCloud page with some of my original music.
